Dr. Mahmoud graduated in 2009 from the School of Medicine, Ain-Shams university, Cairo, Egypt. He worked as a cardiology resident in the same institution of one year, followed by Internal Medicine residency at Hamad Medical corporation, Internal Medicine residency at university of Florida and currently a Cardiovascular Medicine fellow at University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, USA. During his career, Dr. Mahmoud has published over 90 peer reviewed manuscripts in multiple well-established Cardiovascular journals including Journal of the American College of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, Circulation: Cardiovascular interventions, Journal of the American Heart Association, American Journal of Medicine and International Journal of Cardiology, among others. Dr. Mahmoud's primary research focus is cardiovascular outcomes research, especially outcomes in the fields of acute coronary syndrome, per-cutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and Intravascular ultrasound guided PCI.
