Alpna R Limaye, MD

My name is Alpna Limaye, MD, and I am an assistant professor of medicine in the division of gastroenterology, hepatology & nutrition at the University of Florida and Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. I am a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine with certification in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology.

I received my medical degree at University of Florida College of Medicine in 2004 and following graduation, I was accepted into the J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency Program at Emory University in Atlanta. Upon completion of residency, I began a gastroenterology fellowship, transplant hepatology fellowship and completed an Advanced Postgraduate Program in Clinical Investigation at the University of Florida. Thereafter, I accepted a faculty position in the division of gastroenterology, hepatology & nutrition, specializing in transplant hepatology at UF.

I’m a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD), the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
