Biography

Arun Chandran, MBBS, FAAP, FACC, is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He received his medical degree from Christian Medical College in India. After completion of his degree, he interned at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas, in internal medicine and, shortly thereafter, completed a pediatric residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

Since 2005, Dr. Chandran has been a faculty member in the division of pediatric cardiology. He also serves as the director of the pediatric cardiac MRI/CT imaging program at the UF Health Congenital Heart Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatricians and the American College of Cardiology.

In 2010, he accepted an adjunct faculty position at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in the division of cardiology. He then pursued an adjunct faculty position with the UF College of Medicine’s department of radiology.

His clinical interests include noninvasive imaging that encompasses echocardiography, pediatric cardiac magnetic resonance and computed tomography angiography
