About me
My name is Bashar Alzghoul, MD, and I am an assistant professor of medicine and director of ultrasound in the University of Florida Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. I am board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine and board eligible in critical care medicine. My clinical interest is in lung cancer.
In 2014, I received my medical degree with honors from the University of Jordan School of Medicine in Amman, Jordan. My postdoctoral training includes an internal medicine residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where I was awarded the Thomas & Andreoli of Excellence in Internal Medicine, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UF.
My most recent publication describes the procedure of bronchoscopic intra-tumoral alcohol injection for the treatment of malignant airway obstruction. Other publication topics, include pulmonary hypertension, treatment of acute exacerbation of interstitial lung disease sarcoidosis, vaping and pulmonary embolisms.
In addition, I remain engaged as a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Medical Association.
