Great news from Nash Moawad, M.D., M.S., Head of Minimally Invasive Surgery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

"It gives me great pleasure to announce the results of our recent site inspection for Centers of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) designation. With your hard work and commitment, we met all the requirements, and our designation as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery has been renewed.

This is a testament to the great team work and collaboration that each and every one of you has exhibited since our initial designation in 2012. So, thank you very much for being such great teammates. I look forward to continuing to work with you to raise the bar of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at UF Health. Together, we will continue to build on the excellent reputation we have gained as the premiere MIGS department, providing excellent surgical care to women from throughout the sate of Florida and beyond.

I would like to also take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the support of the leadership of UF Health and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the commitment to excellence and high quality care for our patients."

Congratulations to Moawad and his team.
