About me

I am an associate professor of surgery in the University of Florida Division of Acute Care Surger and have clinical interests in trauma surgery, surgical critical care and acute care surgery. I specialize in the management of diaphragmatic dysfunction, and am the lead surgeon for both the adult and pediatric diaphragmatic pacer programs.

I earned my medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed my general surgery residency, surgery internship and surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.

Currently, I am a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Society of University Surgeons, Western Trauma Association, Chest Wall Injury Society and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
