Chung Ming Chan, M.D., grew up in Singapore and obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2005. He worked in the public healthcare system of Singapore before coming to the United States for residency training. He completed orthopaedic surgery residency training at the University of Florida, and this was followed by two subspecialty fellowships. These were in orthopaedic oncology at UF and in hand and microsurgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery and the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. He worked at the National University Hospital in Singapore in the department of hand and reconstructive microsurgery prior to returning to Gainesville to join the department of orthopaedic surgery at UF in July 2017.

He is a member of the International Society of Limb Salvage and a candidate member of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society. He specializes in orthopaedic oncology and hand surgery.
