About me
For the past 25 years, I have worked as a transplant hepatologist at the University of Florida Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition. I treat patients with various liver conditions that include viral hepatitis, autoimmune disease, cirrhosis and liver transplant. I aim to provide complex care that restores patients’ health when they get seen in our Institution. The goal in our division is simple --- Provide and guide patients through the best treatment available to restore their health.
I completed my internal medicine residency at the San Juan VA Medical Center in Puerto Rico. I did my gastroenterology fellowship at SUNY Downstate. I did a year of transplant hepatology at University of Pittsburgh. I did an additional year of combined training at Tulane University for advanced endoscopic training and hepatology with Dr Lok a world-renowned expert in HBV.
I enjoy learning about new techniques to bring to my practice and broaden my world view and knowledge when traveling.
