Abdalla Abdelkader, MD

Hello, my name is Dr. Abdalla Abdelkader, a cardiologist with advanced training in caring for people with advanced heart failure, heart transplants and complex valvular heart disease. I also specialize in advanced cardiac imaging, with a particular focus on cardiac CT and echocardiography.

I earned my medical degree from Al-Neelain University in Sudan and have trained across several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Ireland and the United States. I hold certifications from the medical boards in Texas, Indiana and Saudi Arabia, as well as membership in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI) and the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (Glasgow) (MRCP UK).

My postgraduate training includes fellowships in adult cardiology and echocardiography at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh; advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Indiana University; and advanced cardiac imaging at Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas. I’m passionate about making heart care accessible and easy to understand for patients from all backgrounds. I speak both English and Arabic, and I strive to be clear, respectful and supportive in every visit.

My special interests include cardiac imaging and mitral valve disease, as well as innovative tools such as 3D echocardiography to help plan surgeries more safely. I’ve also contributed to multiple research publications in respected medical journals.
