About me
My name is Alejandro Sierra, and I am a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients throughout adulthood and into their senior years. With more than 15 years of healthcare experience, I have had the privilege of serving patients in a variety of settings, including primary care, home health, case management, emergency medicine, critical care, clinical research, and chronic disease management.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami, where I was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and The National Society of Leadership and Success. My clinical training included more than 600 hours of advanced practice rotations in family medicine, geriatrics, cardiology, and internal medicine, further strengthening my ability to care for patients with both acute and complex chronic health conditions.
Throughout my career, I have developed a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on treating the whole person—not just a diagnosis. My experience as a registered nurse, nurse case manager, and advanced practice provider has taught me the importance of listening to patients, understanding their unique circumstances, and partnering with them to achieve their health goals. I enjoy helping patients navigate chronic conditions, preventive care needs, and lifestyle changes that support long-term wellness and independence.
My professional interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, cardiovascular health, healthy aging, care coordination, and patient education. I am passionate about empowering patients with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health. I believe that strong communication, trust, and collaboration are essential to delivering high-quality care and achieving the best possible outcomes.
As a bilingual provider fluent in both English and Spanish, I am committed to ensuring patients feel comfortable, understood, and supported throughout their healthcare journey. I value building meaningful relationships with my patients and working closely with families, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, evidence-based care.
Outside of my professional responsibilities, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, staying active, and continuing to expand my medical knowledge through lifelong learning. My goal is to provide every patient with compassionate, personalized care that promotes health, dignity, and quality of life.
