About me
My name is Amanda Prine, and I am a primary care provider at the University of Florida Student Health Care Center. I grew up in the Tampa Bay Area and attended UF, where I earned my bachelor’s with honors in applied physiology and kinesiology with a specialization in athletic training. I earned a master's degree in physician assistant studies in 2012 at UF and have been a licensed and practicing physician assistant for the last 10 years in the state of Florida. In addition, I have been a certified athletic trainer since 2008 and continue to keep my certification active.
My career has been focused on emergency medicine, in which I worked during my time at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and at UF Health. I also have experience in non-operative sports medicine, orthopedic surgery, urgent care and primary care.
I enjoy outdoor activities with my husband and five children, including hiking, camping, traveling and water sports. I have served as a local 4-H club leader for the last 6 years, helping provide youth with community and mentorship opportunities. I am also a guest lecturer with the UF School of PA Studies and volunteer as a lab instructor for their advanced procedure labs.
