My bio

My name is Amy Dinh, PT, and I am a physical therapist at UF Health Rehab – Medical Plaza. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1996 and always knew I wanted to be a health care provider, which proved to be true while shadowing different practitioners. Ultimately, my experiences in PT settings solidified my love for the profession and the impact it can make for an individual’s quality of life.

I strive to engage my patients to actively participate with me, setting their goals for each session, so we can work toward things that will result in meaningful improvements in their life. I also seek to address or refer patients to a more specialized clinician for other contributing factors that may affect the success of our sessions.

I’m a native Floridian, and have been a resident of Gainesville since graduating high school in 1991. I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, rabbits and pigs, and am an ultimate animal lover. My first horse was a palomino Shetland pony named Trigger. In my free time, I’m an avid gardener and cook. I also enjoy fishing, being outdoors and traveling internationally.
