My bio
Ashley Brooks, MD, is a family medicine physician who practices at UF Health Primary Care – Nocatee, offering quality care to those in St. Johns County and beyond. Dr. Brooks earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She then completed her family medicine residency at the University of South Florida Health Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. Dr. Brooks is no stranger to the University of Florida, where she earned her bachelor’s degree with a focus on nutrition and economics. Today, some of her clinical interests include preventive care, diabetes care, women’s health, and nutrition and weight management. Some of her attention has also been directed at quality improvement, where she’s aimed to improve rapid response readiness among residents. Dr. Brooks has demonstrated expertise in several areas, giving presentations on sepsis management, interventions for tobacco cessation, management of heart arrhythmias, and the evaluation of fainting.
