My bio
Hello, my name is Caitlin Salvagno and I am a clinical audiologist at the University of Florida specializing in audiological evaluations, adult hearing aids and cochlear implants.
I was drawn to audiology after witnessing the hearing difficulties that my grandfather faced as he grew older. I was inspired to help others get earlier intervention for their hearing loss to improve their quality of life and meet their hearing goals. I occasionally rotate throughout our ENT clinic and see patients of all ages. I want to help my patients gain confidence with their hearing devices and encourage everyone to advocate for their hearing goals. I also want to challenge myself to become a better provider by learning from the diverse patients I see.
I am a Double Gator! I received my undergraduate degree of a Bachelor's in Health Science with a minor in Disabilities in Society and then went on to earn my doctorate in Audiology. After moving to Gainesville in 2017 for my undergraduate education, I fell in love with the city and decided to stay for graduate school and the start of my career.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the downtown area of Gainesville with my friends, experiencing nature, playing games on my iPad or Nintendo Switch and hanging out with my dog.
