My bio
My name is Cameron Gehrke, and I am an occupational therapist at UF Health Rehab at Magnolia Parke. I earned my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University, after completing my bachelor’s degree in community health, a field that continues to be a passion of mine. Growing up, both of my parents were pediatric nurses at UF Health Shands, inspiring my interest in healthcare from a young age. As a teen, I led summer camps, including one for children with exceptional needs, where I met many aspiring occupational therapists. That experience, along with shadowing an occupational therapist in Gainesville, ultimately led me to pursue this career.
I specialize in pelvic health, focusing on pediatric bowel management, pelvic floor muscle training exercises, urinary incontinence, bedwetting and bowel retraining. My goal is to be a resource for individuals facing bowel, bladder, and/or sexual dysfunction issues, helping them return to and fully engage in the roles and activities they value most.
I strive to be a compassionate listener and problem solver, addressing the concerns that matter most to my patients. In my free time, I enjoy exploring Gainesville’s beautiful natural areas, playing in the Gainesville Flute Ensemble and spending time with friends playing Dungeons & Dragons.
