About me
Hello, my name is Cecilia G. Hampson, and I am a physician assistant with the University of Florida Department of Surgery in the UF Division of Surgical Oncology. I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, and then obtained my Master’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston. I completed my general surgery PA fellowship from the University of Florida here in Gainesville. My clinical focus includes the surgical care of breast cancer, benign breast conditions, the evaluation and management of high-risk breast cancer patients, and overall breast health.
My goal is to educate and empower patients to better understand their health so they can take an active role in their care. I strive to provide consistent support and encouragement throughout the healing process—recognizing that recovery involves both physical and emotional well-being. Equally important, I work closely with my healthcare team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care tailored to each individual’s needs.
English- and Spanish-speaking patients can expect honesty, collaboration, and a team-based approach to their care. I believe in being transparent about what will best support your health and will work with you—and alongside my colleagues—to find the most effective, personalized path forward.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, and experimenting in the kitchen. Most of all, I value spending meaningful time with my husband and our two children.
