About me
Hello, my name is Chelsea Lively, I am a doctor of physical therapy at the UF Health Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Institute. I completed my doctorate in physical therapy at Nova Southeastern University, and my bachelor's of science in athletic training from Florida Gulf Coast University.
My journey into physical therapy was deeply influenced by my own experiences as a teenager, undergoing multiple orthopaedic surgeries on my hip. During my recovery, I encountered both exemplary and subpar healthcare, which ignited my passion to provide research-based, compassionate care to my future patients.
Specializing in orthopaedic and sports medicine, I focus on treating a range of conditions, including ACL reconstruction, hip and shoulder pain, sports injuries, foot and joint pain, muscle strain treatment and knee pain. My goal is to not only help as many people as possible but also to advance research on musculoskeletal injuries and treatments.Additionally, education is a cornerstone of my practice. I strive to empower my patients by educating them about their bodies and guiding them on how to take charge of their recovery.
In my free time, I enjoy playing with my dog, spending time with friends and family, reading and catching up on my favorite TV shows.
