My bio
David Alexander Cabezas, MD, is a board-certified Family medicine physician who has been practicing since 2003, with two years spent with ChenMed Dedicated Senior Care. He also served for several years as medical director at HCA Healthcare’s Care Now Urgent Care. Dr. Cabezas received his surgical and medical degrees from the Universidad Central del Ecuador, Faculty of Medical Sciences, in Quito, Ecuador. He then completed his first year of pathology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System and, later, a family medicine residency at Kansas University School of Medicine in Wichita, Kansas, where he served as chief resident of the Family Medicine Program. Prior to his residencies, Dr. Cabezas worked as a clinical genetics associate and research fellow in the in the Genetics Division of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami, where he published and presented his findings. Dr. Cabezas is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is fluent in Spanish.
