About me

Hello, my name is Diane Gillan, and I am a clinical audiologist at the University of Florida. I have thirty-five years of experience working with patients of all ages. I have been fortunate to work with newborns, school-age children, adults, and geriatric patients. I consider myself both a clinical and rehabilitative audiologist. I find it rewarding when I can identify hearing loss as well as support the determination of rehabilitation needs. I love audiology and the opportunity it provides me to work with a variety of patients.

After completing my undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, I went on to earn my master’s degree in Audiology from Northwestern University and returned to the University of Florida to get my Clinical Doctorate in Audiology. My starting point with every patient is to establish trust and ensure that the patient feels respected and is treated in a caring manner. My clinical interests include diagnostic testing, pediatric advocacy and implementation of assistive listening technology with school age children.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family along with my three cats and one dog. I also like to watch TV shows such as General Hospital. I love going to Disney World and visiting the theme parks as often as I can. I am a graduate and am excited to be able to be part of the UF Health gator community.
