Dianne Jemelle D Roxborough, APRN
Family Nurse Practitioner
About me
I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience managing patients across the lifespan in emergent, urgent, and acute-care environments. My clinical practice is grounded in evidence-based care, critical assessment, and a commitment to providing appropriate, equitable, and high-quality treatment to every patient I serve.
My work spans a wide range of settings, including urgent care, emergency departments, and primary care environments. In my current role with CareSpot Urgent Care in Gainesville, I evaluate and treat patients with a broad spectrum of acute medical needs—conducting comprehensive histories and physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, performing minor procedures, and guiding patients through informed and collaborative care decisions.
My previous experience includes serving as an Emergency Medicine NP with Kaiser Permanente in Panorama City and at the VA Long Beach Medical Center through Spectrum Healthcare Resources. In these high-acuity environments, I assessed and managed patients with urgent and emergent conditions, performed bedside ultrasound for trauma and organ-specific evaluations, completed laceration repairs and wound I&Ds, applied orthopedic splints and casts, and coordinated closely with supervising physicians, consultants, and nursing teams. My background as a Critical Care Registered Nurse adds depth to my advanced practice role; I spent more than seven years caring for complex, critically ill patients across trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, coronary care, medical-surgical intensive care, and interventional cardiology units. I frequently served as charge nurse, responded to Code Blue emergencies, and participated in strategic planning initiatives within the departments I served.
My clinical training includes comprehensive preceptorships in primary care, pediatrics, OB/GYN, urology, orthopedics, and cardiology through the VA Long Beach Healthcare System and multiple private practices in California. These rotations strengthened my diagnostic reasoning, broadened my experience across specialties, and reinforced my commitment to patient-centered, culturally responsive, and ethically grounded care.
I hold Nurse Practitioner licensure in both Florida and California, as well as multiple specialty certifications—including dual Family Nurse Practitioner board certifications (AANP and ANCC), CCRN, Cardiac Medicine Certification, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification. I also maintain a DEA license and NP furnishing authority. In addition to English, I speak Tagalog fluently and have conversational proficiency in Spanish, which enhances my ability to serve diverse patient populations.
Across every role, I am driven by a commitment to clinical excellence, patient education, and delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care—whether stabilizing a critical patient, managing an urgent condition, or guiding a family through preventive health decisions.
