Erik M Anderson, MD : Bio and credentials

As a Vascular Surgeon at University of Florida Health, I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered surgical care and helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment journey. I believe in building strong relationships with my patients by listening carefully, answering questions and creating personalized treatment plans that fit each patient’s needs and goals.

My training at UF equipped me with strong clinical and surgical skills, along with valuable mentorship and research experience. During residency, I gained experience caring for patients with complex and general vascular conditions requiring surgery while working alongside teams dedicated to delivering high-quality care.

I am also passionate about research and education. My research has focused on vascular surgery, dialysis access, peripheral artery disease and aortic disease. My work has been published in leading medical journals, including the Journal of Vascular Surgery, Annals of Surgery and Circulation Research. I’m especially interested in improving surgical outcomes, advancing surgical education and finding new ways to improve the quality of life for patients with vascular disease.

What I value most about surgery is the teamwork and sense of community. My residency experience taught me the importance of collaboration, mentorship and lifelong learning. I strive to bring those same values into my patient care every day.

Outside of work, I enjoy trying new restaurants, spending time at the beach, golfing, skiing, grilling and watching almost any sport.
