My bio
Felipe Cadavid, MD, is a vascular and endovascular surgeon for UF Health Heart and Vascular Surgery at Halifax Health. After graduating summa cum laude with his bachelor's in biology from the University of Florida, Dr. Cadavid attended medical school at Florida State University College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine where he published research, received numerous awards for academic achievement and resident teaching, and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Cadavid then completed his fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine.
Dr. Cadavid is double board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. His clinical interests include open and endovascular surgery for the treatment of the full spectrum of abdominal and thoracic aortic disease, peripheral occlusive disease and visceral occlusive disease. Dr. Cadavid is a native Spanish language speaker and is trained to provide Spanish-language medical interpretation.
Dr. Cadavid’s interests are broad – he is an avid guitar player and collector, enjoys collecting music on vinyl, and takes part in shooting sports, including skeet, trap and sporting clays.
