My bio
My name is Gena Rhoden, CNM, APRN, and I am a certified nurse midwife with extensive experience providing holistic and compassionate care to women across their lifespans. My educational journey began at Florida Atlantic University, where I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, followed by my Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. I have been certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board since 2008 and have dedicated over 30 years of my career to providing holistic and compassionate care at UF Health.
Throughout my career, I have specialized in supervising the care of women across their lifespans, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care. My expertise includes managing labor patients, performing vaginal deliveries, repairing lacerations, conducting gynecologic exams, and providing contraceptive management and limited OB ultrasounds. I have also supported high-risk pregnancies, managed OB emergencies, and assisted with cesarean sections.
Recognized for my dedication to patient care, I was honored with the Nurse of Excellence Award for Maternal Child Services in 2008. I am passionate about fostering strong patient relationships, providing evidence-based care, and empowering women to make informed decisions about their health.
