About me
In addition to being a urologist at UF Health, I am an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Urology. I received my medical degree in 2006 from the Pontifical Xavierian University School of Medicine in Bogotá, Colombia. I then completed my residency in urology in 2011 at the University Foundation of Health Sciences, also in Bogotá, where I gained comprehensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of urologic conditions.
To further advance my expertise, I completed a fellowship in endourology in 2013 at La Floresta Medical Institute and the Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery Center in Caracas, Venezuela. This specialized fellowship provided advanced training in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted urologic surgery, with a focus on improving surgical precision, patient safety and recovery outcomes.
