About me
I am a fellowship-trained Pediatric Otolaryngologist and Craniofacial surgeon here at UF in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. I completed medical school in New York and went on to complete Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. After residency, I successfully completed a complex pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin. I then pursued an additional fellowship at University of Utah where I focused on cleft and craniofacial surgery, learning and gaining expertise in innovative surgical techniques and advanced patient care.
My craniofacial training includes all surgical and non-surgical treatment of cleft lip, cleft palate, alveolar cleft, velopharyngeal insufficiency, mandibular distraction, ear molding and otoplasty patients as well as craniosynostosis. I also have experience with the Oral Airway Appliance for patients with Pierre-Robin Sequence. I have been involved with cleft care outreach programs in India. Additionally, I am fully trained in all areas of complex pediatric otolaryngology, including endoscopic and open airway surgery, pediatric Inspire implantation, and pediatric thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
I have contributed to multiple publications including research articles, book chapters, case reports and poster presentations at national conferences.
I am a member of the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association and American Society for Pediatric Otolaryngology. I am passionate about combining cleft surgery with otolaryngology to provide high quality care to patients.
