My bio

Greetings! I'm Hope Lane, a physical therapist at UF Health. I earned my doctorate in physical therapy from the esteemed University of Florida. I hold the distinction of being an APTA board-certified oncology physical therapist, a licensed massage therapist, a Watson Caring Science Caritas Coach and a certified Amrit yoga teacher with over 200 hours of training.

My journey into healthcare began as a massage therapist, where I discovered the profound impact of hands-on healing. Transitioning to physical therapy allowed me to integrate my passion for wellness into a more proactive approach for my patients. Specializing in oncology, I focus on addressing cancer treatment side effects such as scar tissue, balance and gait deficits, lymphedema and deconditioning. My scope also extends to palliative and orthopaedic care, providing a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.

Working within the oncology population is not just a job for me; it's an ongoing opportunity for personal and professional growth. I find immense joy in connecting with my patients, helping them navigate their challenges, and instilling a sense of hope and empowerment. In addition to my clinical work, I am involved in the breast cancer surveillance program, contributing to ongoing research and advancements in the field.

Outside the realm of healthcare, I find solace in yoga and cherish spending time outdoors. These activities not only rejuvenate my spirit but also contribute to a well-rounded and balanced life. I'm passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of my patients and I am grateful for the opportunities to blend my skills and interests in pursuit of their well-being.
