Jacob G Gaetanos

I pursued medicine because I have always been drawn to helping others during challenging yet key moments in their life. I wanted a career that would afford me those opportunities while also allowing me to create meaningful connections. As a UF Health physician, I strive to provide compassionate, high-quality care while building trusting relationships with my patients and community.

My experience in college basketball influenced my approach to medicine: We are all a team, including providers, nurses, administrators and patients. I strive for the best outcome for each patient based on their individual health and lifestyle goals.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, cheering on the Gators, cooking good food for friends and family, and traveling and experiencing new cultures. I also value staying connected to my Greek heritage and the traditions that are important to me.
