Jennifer L B Guadagno, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC

Hi, my name is Jennifer Guadagno, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, I am a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner for UF Health. I grew up in Alachua County and received my Associate of Science in nursing from Santa Fe College, followed by my Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of West Florida. I worked as a pediatric hematology/oncology night shift nurse for nearly 13 years prior to receiving my post-graduate degree from the University of South Alabama and transitioning to become an APRN.

I was initially inspired to become a nurse by my father, who saw it as a great way to use my passion of caring for people in a very dynamic way. I have always loved children. I babysat a lot, coached youth sports, and worked as a summer counselor during my adolescent years.

I am board certified in pediatric primary care, caring for children from birth through 21 years of age. I feel it is important to actively involve the child and their family in all aspects of their health journey, actively listening and creating a plan together to provide the best possible outcome.

I am very passionate about adolescents and their well-being, weight issues, and mental health. I feel visits to the pediatrician’s office should be educational and should help in guiding families to create the most optimal lifestyle for their children’s overall well-being. I’m also very interested in breast feeding, child behavior, and child development.

I am very family-centered. It’s important to me to have my parents close and to have my siblings’ families involved in my children’s lives. The most important titles I have are being a mama to my three girls and a wife to my husband. I enjoy being involved with my girls, coaching sports, playing outside, and teaching them new things daily! I love to be active, try new things, cook with my kids, and be on or near the water. I love watching sports, especially those played by the Gators! Go Gators!
