Jennifer Nickol, MD
Cardiologist (Heart Specialist), Cardiovascular Surgeon
My bio
I earned my medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my internal medicine residency at Magnolia Regional Health Center. My career path took me to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where I completed my cardiology fellowship, served as chief cardiology fellow and finished advanced training in heart failure and transplant cardiology.
Today, I serve as Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Florida Health. I chose a career in cardiology because I enjoy helping patients improve their quality of life and better understand their heart health. I believe in listening closely to patients and working together to create a care plan that fits their needs and goals.
My clinical interests include heart failure, transplant cardiology, cardiovascular imaging and preventive heart care. I also have experience teaching medical students and residents. I have been involved in research focused on heart disease, heart transplant care and improving patient outcomes.
I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their treatment journey.
