My bio

My name is Johanna Bonhomme, and I am a physical therapist assistant at UF Health Ocala Neighborhood Hospital. I earned my bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Central Florida, and my physical therapist assistant degree from Florida Gateway College. I specialize in treating knee, ankle, and hip pain, as well as orthopedic injuries and joint replacements, helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

My passion for physical therapy began when I was a teenager involved in sports. After experiencing injuries and going through extensive rehab, I saw firsthand how physical therapy helped me become a better athlete and sparked my interest in fitness and rehabilitation. I wanted to pursue a career where I could make a real difference in people’s lives by helping them move and feel better.

I strive to provide effective treatment to the best of my ability and hope to inspire others to join this field by showcasing the positive impact physical therapy can have. Outside of work, I love spending time with my kids—whether it's going to the park, trying something new, or crafting. I also enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking, going to the beach and working on puzzles.
