My bio

My decision to pursue a career in orthopaedics and spine surgery was specifically driven by a love for the opportunity to combine technical skills with critical, analytical thinking and the latest technologies to help patients enjoy their lives as fully as possible. As an orthopaedic surgeon at UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the World Equestrian Center, I perform advanced procedures to restore function, reduce pain and help patients return to the activities they love.

My practice focuses on the comprehensive care of patients with spinal conditions. My clinical interests include spinal stenosis, spinal deformities such as scoliosis and kyphotic deformities, spinal fractures, herniated disks, spondylolisthesis and sciatica.

My primary goal as a spine surgeon is to help each patient achieve their personal goals related to their spine conditions. I especially love connecting with patients undergoing spine surgery. I have a desire to understand who they are as individuals and how their symptoms are affecting them as we develop the right personalized treatment plan for them.

Beyond my clinical practice, I also strive to understand what spine patients as a whole are looking for when they come to see a surgeon. This knowledge helps me advance the field in ways that have the most significant impact on those in need. I view patients as valuable partners in their care, and I aim to provide clear, easy-to-understand information in consultations. I encourage each person to be proactive in nonoperative treatment plans. If surgery is necessary, I ensure those I care for have a complete understanding of the procedure, its risks and its benefits.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, cycling and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
