My bio
I am a board-certified general surgeon with fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. I specialize in the surgical management of a broad range of general surgical conditions, including hernias, gallbladder disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and complex foregut pathology. With advanced expertise in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, I am committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care that promotes excellent outcomes and enhanced recovery.
I believe that successful surgical care begins with a strong partnership between surgeon and patient. I prioritize open communication, patient education, and shared decision-making, ensuring that each patient understands their diagnosis, treatment options and expected outcomes. My goal is to deliver compassionate, individualized care while helping patients navigate complex surgical decisions with confidence.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am actively engaged in academic surgery. My interests include quality improvement, surgical outcomes research and surgical education. I am particularly focused on identifying strategies that improve patient safety, optimize perioperative care and enhance recovery after surgery. I am also passionate about resident education and mentorship and enjoy contributing to the training and professional development of future surgeons.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing golf, cooking and spending time with my wife and children.
