“ As a former laboratory clinician, I appreciated the time he took with me. He practiced what I like to call "haute couture" medicine. It was not "off-the-rack". He listened to me carefully about my history. He gave me options for treatment. He took time to educate me on x-ray and MRI scan. I know anatomy fairly well, so he showed me the abnormalities on the films and explained how my anatomy was a pain generator. He then laid out options, took other surgical needs I have into consideration so that surgery wouldn't be compromised by recovery from shoulder surgery. Explained what outcomes I might expect and the variables in each option, as well as recovery protocols. I was head, treated with respect and felt like an individual. I felt included in ther decision making as a partner. ”
