Julian S Edelschick, MD, MBA, FAAP, PHM

As a pediatrician at University of Florida Health, I am deeply committed to providing the best possible care to families in my community. I ensure that every family feels heard, respected and supported during each visit.

My medical journey began with an attraction to athletic training. That interest evolved into physical therapy and ultimately led me to pediatrics. During my obstetrics and gynecology rotation in medical school, I discovered a strong connection to caring for children and newborns, confirming that pediatrics was the right specialty for me.

After earning my medical degree from St. Matthew’s University in the Cayman Islands and completing my pediatric residency at Dayton Children’s Hospital in Ohio, I became double board-certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine.

I joined the UF Health team as a general pediatrician in April 2024 and was appointed medical director in January 2025. I now have more than a decade of experience in caring for hospitalized children with a wide range of illnesses and medical needs. My clinical interests include asthma management, medically complex children, and chromosome and genetic disorders.

Throughout my career, I have participated in pediatric quality improvement initiatives, staff education and pediatric care standardization efforts across multiple hospital systems. I believe collaboration, communication and compassion are essential to delivering exceptional pediatric care.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy golfing, video games and tending to my farm.
