My bio

Hello, I'm Katelyn Parham, a speech-language pathologist at UF Health. I earned my master of arts in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Florida, solidifying my dedication to helping others through speech therapy.

I specialize in assisting individuals with neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Corticobasal Syndrome, Primary Progressive Aphasia, Ataxia and ALS. My journey into this field was driven by a deep-seated desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Witnessing the impact that communication and swallowing difficulties can have on individuals inspired me to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist. As a therapist, my goal is to support patients functionally in the areas of speech, language and swallowing.

I have a particular interest in Expiratory Muscle Strength Training (EMST) and swallowing issues within the movement disorders population. Continuously seeking out innovative approaches to therapy allows me to provide the most effective and comprehensive care to my patients.

Outside of my professional pursuits, I find joy in outdoor activities such as biking and boating.
