My bio
My pursuit of physical therapy was shaped by a personal setback that ultimately changed the trajectory of my life. During my undergraduate years, a knee injury forced me to step away from CrossFit — a training outlet that had helped me overcome obesity and prediabetes. I feared the injury would permanently limit my ability to exercise at the level I valued. By working with an exceptional physical therapist, I not only returned to training but also surpassed where I was before the injury.
That experience showed me the true impact of high-quality rehabilitation. I realized I wanted a career centered on meaningful, face-to-face patient care. Physical therapy became the clear path, allowing me to combine my background in mechanics and physics with a passion for helping people reclaim confidence in their bodies and return to the lives they want to live. In my role as a physical therapist, my goal is to empower patients through education and movement. I want each patient to know that injury does not define their limits, and that with the right plan and support, progress is always possible. Whether the goal is returning to sport, staying active or simply moving without fear, I strive to help people regain the ability to participate fully in the activities that bring them joy.
I am fully invested in my patients’ progress, no matter where they are in their rehabilitation journey. I bring a desire to learn, improve, and stay current with evidence-based care, and I’m fortunate to work alongside a strong team of clinicians and researchers who share the same goal. I want patients to know that it’s normal to move through periods of continual exercise as well as times of reduced activity, and that meaningful progress is always possible from wherever you’re at. Together, we focus on helping every patient move forward, regardless of where they are.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active in a variety of ways, including bouldering at The Knot, playing pickleball and casual running. Over the years, my relationship with movement has evolved through different phases. I’ve competed and coached in CrossFit, qualified for Junior Nationals in Olympic-style weightlifting and spent time focused on running, including completing two half-marathons. Those experiences have shaped my understanding that activity levels change throughout life.
