My bio

Hello, I'm Kristina Mazlaghani, a physical therapist at UF Health. I hold a master's degree in physical therapy from Misericordia University.

My primary passion lies in treating babies and children, particularly those in the crucial developmental stage from birth to 4 years old. I find immense fulfillment in helping little ones overcome challenges and achieve their milestones. My expertise extends to working with babies facing issues such as reflux, constipation and colic. In my practice, I address a variety of conditions in infants and children, including posture abnormalities, prematurity, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, high or low tone, gait impairments, developmental delay, gross motor delay, weakness and abnormal coordination.

In my practice, I address soft tissue restrictions that may contribute to issues like reflux, colic, constipation or posture impairments. By doing so, I aim to facilitate better sleep, enhance tolerance for developmental positions and relieve pain, allowing babies to more fully engage with their environment. I particularly enjoy helping babies embrace tummy time, ensuring proper development of strength and mobility.

Growing up surrounded by babies and young children, I always knew I wanted to dedicate my career to working with kids. Choosing pediatric physical therapy allows me to share in the joy of helping children take their first steps, reach their milestones and improve their quality of life by better engaging with their peers. As a physical therapist, my overarching goal is to assist children in reaching their full gross motor potential. I focus on enabling them to keep up with their peers and enhancing their quality of life.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in spending time with my husband, daughter and son. I have a deep love for travel, exploring different cultures, architectures and landscapes. I also enjoy baking.
