My bio
My name is Kubra Tuna, and I am a physician here at UF Health. I earned my medical degree from Erciyes University School of Medicine in Kayseri, Turkey, completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Florida in the Department of Physiology and Functional Genomics, followed by an internal medicine residency at the University of Central Florida/HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. I completed my endocrinology fellowship at the University of Florida, Division of Endocrinology, in diabetes and metabolism.
Endocrinology has been my chosen specialty since early in medical school. I am passionate about caring for individuals with diabetes, osteoporosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, thyroid disorders and pituitary tumors. I find great fulfillment in helping patients feel better, manage their health, and improve their quality of life.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, biking, hiking, visiting national parks and especially relaxing on Florida’s beautiful beaches.
