About me
Lauren Staley, MSN, APRN, CPNP, is a pediatric advanced practice provider in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Florida Health Shands Children’s Hospital. She began her nursing career at UF Health in 2004 as a bedside pediatric nurse after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Florida State University College of Nursing. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Florida in 2006.
Since joining the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team in 2011, Lauren has dedicated her career to caring for children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer. She currently serves as the Pediatric and Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Sarcoma and Solid Tumor Coordinator, where she partners closely with patients and families at every stage of their journey—from diagnosis, through active treatment, and into survivorship. She helps manage treatment plans, including chemotherapy and supportive care, while ensuring patients and families feel informed, supported, and heard. Lauren also guides transition planning, survivorship care, and monitoring for late effects, with a focus on helping patients navigate life during and after cancer treatment.
Lauren serves as UF’s Oncofertility Navigator. She provides fertility education and counseling to patients before starting cancer treatment and throughout survivorship, helping them understand their options and make informed decisions. She coordinates fertility preservation services when appropriate, with a focus on supporting each patient’s future goals and quality of life.
