My bio
Supporting children in achieving greater independence, functional participation and overall well-being inspired me to pursue pediatric occupational therapy. I wanted to not only assess children’s needs, but also actively help them develop the skills needed to participate in everyday life. As a UF Health pediatric occupational therapist, I find this work especially meaningful because early intervention can have a lasting impact on a child’s functioning, development and quality of life.
My passion for neuropsychology, cognition and child development motivates me to provide holistic, evidence-based care tailored to each patient. I value supporting the entire family while helping children build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
I want prospective patients and their families to know that I truly value building meaningful connections with those I serve. As a certified bilingual therapist in Spanish and English, I am committed to providing culturally sensitive care and ensuring families feel understood, supported and comfortable. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort, and the best outcomes are achieved when therapists and families work together as a team. By combining clinic-based interventions with strategies and activities families can use at home, we can better support each child’s progress and development.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children, extended family and friends. I love playing tennis, hiking, traveling, watching a good movie and enjoying good food. Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones — playing games, laughing and creating meaningful memories with the people I love.
