About me

I was inspired to become a doctor after sustaining a knee injury in high school. After recovery, I was convinced I would be an orthopedic surgeon, however, after attending medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, I became drawn to colorectal surgery for the variety it offers. I treat patients for a wide range of conditions related to this discipline as a general surgeon with a focus on colon and rectal pathology. After medical school, I completed my residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine, followed by fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at Brown University. Currently, I practice at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center, where I am the chief of surgery.

My goal is to provide exemplary patient care. I strive to offer renowned operative care, reduce the length of hospital stays and minimize surgical complications. I am a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association. I also am a Surgical Education Research Fellow (SERF) with an interest in robotic surgical education.

Outside of practice, I am a fantasy football enthusiast and avid snow skier. I also enjoy cooking and reading.
