My bio

Hi, my name is Majd Khasawneh, MD, and I am an assistant professor in the University of Florida Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. I am also board certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine and pulmonary medicine.

My journey in medicine began in 2015, when I received my medical degree from the University of Jordan School of Medicine in Amman, Jordan. I completed my internal medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, before moving to Gainesville, where I trained in pulmonary and critical care at UF Health Shands Hospital.

I come from a family of physicians. I was always inspired by my parents and older siblings’ stories from the hospital and their interactions with patients. Now as a physician, I aim to provide the best care possible for my patients. I’m always here to listen and I truly feel privileged to be able to provide help to our community whenever possible.

In my free time, I love to travel and hike.
