Martha J Henderson, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Hello, my name is Martha “Marti” Henderson. I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner at UF Health Family Medicine Walk-In and Primary Care clinic, located at The World Equestrian Center in NW Ocala.

I started my nursing career as a licensed practical nurse in 2007 and have since continued my education by earning a bachelor's degree in health care leadership from College of Central Florida, a bachelor's degree in nursing from Indiana State University, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University.

In the future, I plan to earn my doctorate degree in nursing from the University of Florida. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I gained experience in family practice, urgent care, utilization review, genetic laboratory services, healthcare quality measures, health administration, and inpatient rehabilitation focused primarily on brain, spinal cord, and traumatic injuries.

I am grateful for my experience in all these different areas of healthcare, but my true passion has always been developing lasting relationships in a primary care setting.

I am passionate about delivering individualized care, focused on attention to detail, understanding your needs as my patient, and then working together to create a plan of care that works best for you.

I am an Ocala native, and I care very deeply for our growing community here in Marion County. I hope to provide a positive experience for those I have the privilege of caring for, whether you live, work, or play here in Ocala.

I am a huge Gator football fan! I have fond memories of attending Gator games with my grandparents as a child, sitting right behind the players and Coach Steve Spurrier, who I really hope to meet one day!

My significant other, Matt, is also a family nurse practitioner. At home, we have a blended family of 5 boys and enjoy all things sports, water, and travel.
