My bio

Hello! My name is Dr. Melissa Gronceski and I am a clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida in the Department of Pediatrics. I was born and raised in Indiana where I attended college and medical school at Indiana University in Indianapolis. I then moved to Florida where I completed pediatric residency with a focus in medical education at the University of Florida College of Medicine.

As a physician I strive to empower families through education and to be an advocate for early, timely interventions. I am dedicated to practicing preventive medicine and working with families to make sustainable lifestyle changes.

My clinical interests include vaccines, developmental milestones, obesity in children, neonatal weight gain and nutrition, healthy living, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, atopic dermatitis, and asthma in children. My research interests include medical education and pediatric obesity.

Outside of work, I can be found cheering on the Gators football team, go Gators! I also enjoy exploring local restaurants, bowling, kayaking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
