About me

Hi, my name is Mustafa Yehya, MD, and I am a headache specialist at UF Health and an assistant professor at the University of Florida Department of Neurology. Before joining the neurology team at UF, I completed a headache medicine fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. I did my neurology residency at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City and additionally completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. I am originally from Lebanon, where I earned my medical degree from the Lebanese American University in Byblos and my bachelors degree in biology from the Lebanese American University in Beirut.

I am very interested in psychiatry and psychology, which is one of many reasons I choose to subspecialize in headache, facial pain and migraine disorders. I am passionate about working with headache patients because they often face stigma and feel they are not heard. During my headache fellowship, I also had the chance to work with patients who suffered from various degrees of traumatic brain injury in the sports and traumatic brain injury clinic.

Outside of work, I enjoy lifting weights, watching international shows, exploring other cultures, traveling and playing video games.
