Olga (Kiki) Nin, MD

My name is Olga Cristina Nin, MD, but I go by Kiki. I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in 2014 as a clinical assistant professor of anesthesiology in the Division of Acute Pain Medicine. I received my bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Brown University and my medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia. I completed both my residency and my fellowship here at the University of Florida.

I’m now a clinical associate professor, the associate chair for anesthesiology clinical services, and the medical director for the UF Health Florida Surgical Center and UF Health The Oaks. I became a doctor to follow in the footsteps of my uncle and was introduced to the fields of anesthesiology and acute pain medicine by a mentor in medical school. I treat my patients as if they were my family: with dignity, respect, and dedication.

Community service is very important to me, and in 2011 and 2012 I traveled to Honduras as part of the department’s Lifebox project. My areas of interest include quality improvements, nerve neuroanatomy, and ambulatory anesthesia.

I’m originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I played junior and varsity tennis and represented Puerto Rico in the Federation Cup. I still play, and have recently begun learning to play pickleball. My true happiness outside of work lies in spending time with my son and family, who have supported me unconditionally.
