My bio
Rachel Parker is an Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 10 years of experience who earned her degree from the University of Central Florida in 2013, graduating from their Counselor Education program - Mental Health track. She has worked in outpatient settings, as well as in private practice, and residential treatment facilities.
She has provided services to both adults and adolescents.
Rachel started working for UF Health Psychology Specialties in October 2022 with a focus on general mental health, and transitioned to the DBT team in April of 2024. She currently works with individuals one on one and co-facilitates both the adult and adolescent DBT skills groups.
Her clinical interests include substance abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, and PTSD. She utilizes the following modalities: dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and prolonged exposure therapy (PE).
