My bio
I am a plastic surgeon in the University of Florida Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and I specialize in hand surgery, peripheral nerve and microsurgery. My clinical areas of interests are in carpal tunnel release, carpal tunnel syndrome, hand x-ray, wrist arthroscopy and wrist pain.
I earned my medical degree and pursued my plastic surgery residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Thereafter, I completed a hand surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where I received training in common hand surgery pathologies such as arthritis, Dupuytren's and nerve compression. I also received training in complex upper extremity trauma and reconstruction, brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries.
I have authored and contributed to numerous publications and have participated in multiple scientific podium and poster presentations. I specialize in extremity salvage and reconstruction including microsurgical free flaps. In addition, I offer a procedure known as targeted muscle reinnervation, which aims to treat chronic pain in amputee patients.
