My bio
As a physician and infectious disease specialist at University of Florida Health, I aim to provide high-quality, evidence-based care for complex infectious diseases. While doing so, I will also have a focus on teaching medical students and promoting the careful, responsible use of antibiotics. Long term, I hope to take on leadership roles in academic medicine to improve clinical programs, enhance patient care and combine knowledge of infectious diseases and the immune system to improve treatment.
My interest in medicine was driven by a fascination with complex, multisystem diseases and clinical reasoning. During my internal medicine training, I was particularly drawn to cases at the intersection of immunology and infection. As a result, I pursued advanced training in clinical immunology and infectious diseases. I value the diagnostic challenge and the ability to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
I want my patients to know that I take the time to listen carefully and approach each case thoughtfully, especially when the diagnosis is complex. My goal is to ensure patients understand their condition and feel confident in their care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, staying active and working on personal projects, such as gardening. I also strive to keep up with medical advances and continuously learn.
