“ I have been a patient of UF Eastside for 10-15 years. I have always received good service. This time was different. The provider stopped me mid sentence as I was telling her about another health issue and medication changes. She told me she was out of time, and that she doesn't even know why i was scheduled during her urgent time slot. I told her I still need to talk to her about my health. I also told her I made my own appointment on MyChart. Nobody assisted me with scheduling. We are in a virtual era. That didn't change her reaction. I also told her I drive 1 hour round trip to visit the clinic because I know everyone and I am comfortable with the service. She still did not want to help me further and stood at the door with her belongings. She did not exhibit a concern for my health. She acted as if my health concerns were not as important as others. In the time we went back and forth, she could've heard my concerns and addressed them. So, I stood up an said, never mind. I thought she would have relented, but she guided me out and moved on. My appointment was incomplete. On the way home, I called my insurance company and I moved my provider to another clinic and I will never return to UF Eastside Clinic. Honestly, intervention is needed here for your provider. More training and sensitivity training is needed. I never thought my primary care provider cared more about keeping her timeline than providing my healthcare needs. Please do not gloss over this review. Please note: I NEVER give reviews unless they are positive. But this review is warranted. As a provider, she should care for her patients, each of them, and care for their needs, and not say, "Honestly, I don't know why they even scheduled you during this urgent time period...." Your provider did not care for my needs, and I hope she gets the help she needs, so she can provide the level of service needed for patients in the community. I'm moving on. Godspeed. ”
